Announcing new additions? by ravenskya
Is there anywhere on the site that announces the most recently added books? I would hate to have to scroll and re-scroll through everything to find the most recently added.

Also... I'm not sure if you are typing these in or not.. but if you need help to add new books, I would be more than happy to help you out any way I can. Thanks and have a great day

I will add some mechanism to the browse books page that will allow you to sort by the date the book was added to the system. Thanks for the great idea!

I really appreciate your most generous offer ravenskya, it really does mean a lot that you would offer your time. I (really) regret that I'm too much of a control-freak perfectionist to entrust the laborious process of marking up books for addition though. Although in the future I would like to add a section of the site that would allow for user submitted works (with a decent mark-up editor, right now it's all done by hand and hence is quite error prone).

If you enjoy talking about books at all, I would really love for people to discuss what they are reading - comments on the characters, plots, author's motivations, historical context, whatever (scholarly or not, doesn't matter - even just a simple "I loved this book!"). So, if you are inclined towards that, it would certainly be appreciated!

Besides that, I just really hope that you are enjoying DailyReader.net and that you keep the great suggestions coming in!

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I've added an option to the search page to include the release date in the results. You can sort by that column by clicking on "Released" at the top.

Also, more avenues to help out, if you're still inclined. I spend a lot of time trying to find out what categories to assign books to (especially the ones that I'm not familiar with), and despite that I still feel that often times the category assignments are not very good/complete. (In the future I'm going to add a "suggest a category" function, but if you have any then feel free to email me @ tomATdailyreader.net or submit them to this forum.

Also, I would really like to add a synopsis for each book. If you would like to participate in that manner that would be really cool.

Thanks again!
-Tom
